AquaDragons is open to all swimmers (ages 5 and up). We offer three types of swimming programs: Learn to Swim, Competitive and Swimming Fitness.
Our Otters Swim Program is a learn-to-swim program designed to steadily increase a child's swimming competence and confidence. Our Aquadragons Competitive Swim team is designed for children who are interested in refining their swimming technique and increasing their strength, endurance, and speed. Our Swim Fit program is designed for older students who just want to improve their fitness through swimming.
Although we do not offer after school swimming lessons during the week for EY children we do offer swimming lessons for EY2 children (age 4) on Saturdays.
Swimmers are assessed and placed into groups based on age, ability, and training commitment. After the assessment, parents will be sent an email indicating the level of the class that is appropriate for their child. Parents will be sent a private link to register their child for that class. These links will be sent a day or two after the assessment is complete.
Swimmers train at the Jakarta Intercultural School's three campuses: an eight-lane, fully shaded 25 m pool at the Cilandak (CIL) campus, a six-lane 25 m pool at the Pondok Indah Elementary (PIE) campus, and a three-lane 20 m pool for our younger swimmers at the Pattimura Elementary (PEL) campus.
Attention parents of Komodos, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum & Swim Fit Swimmers: Since the MS and HS athletics program will be using the pool from October (HS) and November (MS) until Februray, times for AquaDragons classes will change mid semester. For example, Komodos 1, 2 and 3 children who decide to swim on Saturdays in the afternoon would swim at Cilandak from 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm from September 11 to October 14 but then swim at PIE from October 16 - Dec 14 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Attention parents of elementary bus riders: There are some swim classes (such as Komodos 2A PIE, Komodos 2 PEL, and Komodos 3 PEL) that run from 2:10 PM to 3:25 PM. Since late buses leave at 3:10 PM, children who choose to ride the bus home have two choices. They can either ask their coach to leave the pool early at 3:00 PM to catch the 3:10 PM bus, or they can arrange to be picked up by car at 3:30 PM.
